Why Teaching is Actually Awesome!

February 9, 2011 By Rachel

Top Ten Reasons Why Teaching is Actually Awesome:
10.  Free Milk!
Yep, that’s right.
I get to bring home those leftover milk cartons.
I can’t remember the last time I bought milk at the store.  Hehe!
9. You get to turn anything into a song!
From lining up…to remember your even and odd numbers!  Who doesn’t love silly songs?!
8. You get home in time to watch Oprah!
I mean really…what other normal job gets this?
What will I do when her final season is over?!
7. School Supplies!
I get so giddy over them!
6. Teacher Discounts!  Love it!
My favorite is Barnes & Noble.
5. Kids ask the funniest things!
Do I have a brain?  Yes, sweety, you do.
(true question…although he said, “I gotta brain?”)
4. Hugs!
There at least one child at anytime during the day that wants to give you a hug. 🙂
3. The power of the “Teacher look”
Gets them every time!
2.  The “ah-ha” moment.
When a kid finally realizes how to do something…it’s just priceless!
1. June, July, and August!
Still, the best reason teaching is fun…SuMmEr BrEaK!!

Thanks for the sweet comments on my blog! I am a teacher, or used to be, (I now get to stay home with my three kiddos), but I still find myself missing it sometimes. I really loved all the sweet and silly valentines I would get from my students.

I really love all your positive and fun posts, I am your newest follower, I would love a follow back if you would like.
