A Washi Tape Craft

July 22, 2013 By Rachel

It’s time for Monday Made-It!  Be sure to check out the other projects over at Tara’s blog 4th Grade Frolics

I made the infamous READ letters for my classroom library!
These are cardboard letters that I picked up from the Hob Lob.

I spray painted the letters black and then covered the front with Washi tape
(this was my first time using washi tape…and I.Am.In.Love!)

It finished it off with a coat of Modge Podge to make sure it would last.
Y’all have a great day!!

Love your READ letters! Initially I set out to do something like this, but I ended up making more of a READ shadowbox frame type situation for my Monday made it! I am also obsessed with washi tape and am constantly looking for new ways to use it!

You've inspired me! I have a tall bookcase in my guided reading area and these letter would be the perfect match on the top of it!
