Budding Blog

September 16, 2013 By Rachel

Jess at I {heart} Recess is hosting a Budding Blog linky for any blogs that have less than 200 followers!
1. Why did you start blogging?
I originally started blogging back in January of 2011.  I was following a bunch of organizing and crafting blogs and I wanted to join in the fun.  It was before teaching blogs really took off.  I started by sharing a few rooms I organized and a few crafts I made.  But unfortunately, I didn’t really keep up with it.  Teaching life took up most of my mind and blogging fell to the waist side.  When Google reader was about to disappear this summer, I joined Bloglovin’ and started following all my favorite blogs again!  I rejoined the blogging world in July and love being able to share my true passion for teaching!
2. What is your favorite subject to teach and why?
I LOVE teaching math!  Math is so concrete and you know immediately when the light bulb moments happen!  I did not like math when I was in school, so I knew I wanted to focus on making sure my students didn’t have the same feelings!
3. Describe your teaching style.
My style is very organized and systematic.  I work well with an order, so I create a classroom and lessons that have an ebb and flow to them.
4. Give three interesting facts about you.
1. I am a reality TV junkie!  I watch them all! I’m so excited that DWTS and Survivor are back this week!
2. I am the Aunt of two fabulous nieces and one handsome nephew!
3. I have never had a broken bone! {knock on wood}
5. Do you have a TpT store? If yes, post the link 🙂
Yes!!  I actually just opened it this week!!  I only have one product right now but I have several in the works!  My Store
Thanks for stopping by!  Please head over to I {heart} Recess to find more fabulous Budding Blogs!!
