Whew!  We made it!
What a week it’s been!
It’s time for
Abby from The Inspired Apple posted this last night on Facebook.
It’s so true in my world!  I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!  I will start decorating next week!  Don’t judge 😉
 Speaking of yesterday and all things Halloween…
My teacher friends and I rocked our shoes and Pete the Cat for Book Character Dress Up day!
Here are my sweet nieces all dressed up!

 I don’t remember if I told y’all that my mom and dad are building their DREAM house!
She has started a blog about the progress!  So you should definitely stop by and read all about it!  It’s such a great story! A Clear View
Last Sunday, we had a get together in the new house and wrote scriptures on the beams and studs of the walls!  It was a great afternoon!
 For the month of November (I just typed December!  I’m so ready!) Ok…sidetracked…For the month of November, I am posting something I’m thankful for every day on Instagram!  Today I am thankful that…

      Thanks for stopping by my lil blog! I loved reading yours as well. Writing scriptures on the beams while building a house is an awesome idea! And it looks like we both like Despicable me as well! ha!!

      Congrats on 100 followers, Rachel! I loved the photos of your nieces and nephew, too. I haven't checked out your mom's blog yet, but I read the comment above about writing scripture verses on the beams – that is SO neat!

    How long is your students’ attention spans? I o How long is your students’ attention spans?
I only have about 10 minutes before I lose them! 🤪
And I don’t know about you but my lessons are typically longer…so I try to mix it up every 10 minutes with a Think-Pair-Share or some kind of movement

1️⃣ Think Time - giving your students time to think about the answer keeps your over achievers from answering all the questions 
2️⃣ Movement - Stand/Sit if this is your answer
3️⃣ Turn & Talk - Everyone shares their answer with a partner
4️⃣ Hand Signals - Perfect for multiple choice questions
5️⃣ Think-Pair-Share - Combines the think time with turn & talk 
6️⃣ Repetition - repeat important information to help it stick

1️⃣ Give your students time to catch up with each other. Even adults like to chit chat about what we did during break!
2️⃣ Review procedures by playing a fun game. Charades is a great way to act out procedures to see if other students can guess what they’re doing!
3️⃣ The halfway point of the school year is a great time for students to set goals!
