Are you looking for an easy holiday cookie recipe to make this holiday season?ย Then you’ve come to the right place!ย Honestly, I love baking!ย Unfortunately, the best time of the year to bake also happens to be the busiest!!ย This recipe will save you tons of time, and you’ll still have great tasting cookies to give away or take to a party!
Easy Holiday Cookie Recipe Ingredients
First, you’ll want to pick up some ready to bake cookies.ย I chose chocolate chip because their my favorite, but any kind would work. Next, you’ll need a can of frosting.ย I prefer the whipped kind because it makes spreading really easy.ย To really make your cookies festive, you’ll need some sprinkles!ย Now you can certainly make homemade cookies in this recipe, but remember I’m trying to save some time!
Cookie Preparations
I like to add a little “holiday” to the plain cookies, by putting some sprinkles on top of each cooking before baking.ย It gives it a festive effect!
You’ll want to make sure the cookies are completely cooled before moving on to the next step!
After cooling, you’ll add a little frosting between two cookies to make a “sandwich”.ย This is what makes the double doozie part.ย I personally think this is what makes it taste delicious!ย Then you’ll roll edges of cookies in sprinkles to add more holiday excitement!
Finally, you’ll want to refrigerate cookies afterward, to help set the frosting.
They don’t need to stay refrigerated, unless you like them that way!
Every year I take these cookies to a party, everyone loves them!ย You could use any holiday sprinkles to these into a delicious, festive treat.ย Besides the fact that they taste yummy, they really are the easiest cookie to make!
